The Burlington Humane Society is gearing up for some fun events local animal lovers won't want to miss.
Next weekend, the local shelter is hosting its Black Cat Adoption event. Black cats make wonderful pets, and they have a number of them looking for their forever homes.
From Aug. 31 to Sept. 2, all black cats will be available for 50 per cent off the adoption fee.
From black cats to wet dogs....
Pooch Plunge
Does your dog like to swim? Burlington Humane has rented Nelson pool for the dogs to take a dip. Our Pooch Plunge will happen on the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 9. There are times reserved for small dogs and all dogs. The pool will be available for a dog-only swim while owners are on deck supervising their dog.
There is a shallow entry and a deep end of those dogs that like to jump in. The pool will be designated as an off-leash area for the day and is fully fenced in. We will have vendors available in the splash pad area so be sure to come out for all the fun!
This year's Pooch Plunge is sponsored by After All Photograph, IDEXX and Ren’s Pets.
Registration is required - so be sure to visit www.BurlingtonHumane.ca and sign up soon, as swim times are filling up fast.
