About Theatre Burlington

A community theatre founded in 1952 by a small group of enthusiasts and has been expanding its activities to the present level. Starting off our 50th season, Burlington Little Theatre Inc. adopted the operating name of Theatre Burlington to reflect our adaptiveness as our community theatre landscape changed. Our season’s playbill still consists of four major full length productions, including a play especially for children.

Theatre Burlington’s well maintained headquarters is at the Drama Centre in Central Park on New Street, behind the Music Centre. Designed and built specifically to meet the requirements of the theatre group in conjunction with the Burlington Department of Recreation.

It houses a full size stage and a small, well equipped and comfortable auditorium for the presentation of our main stage plays. In 1991 we built a lighting and sound control booth or mezzanine across the back of the auditorium. We have recently added LED lighting and new dimmers

The Centre has an attractive Green Room, scenery, storage, costumes & props rooms, kitchen and printing room. It provides a top notch facility for activities such as is enjoyed by few other groups. Many local groups / schools rent our facilities and use our expertise for rehearsals, performances and video productions. We are proud to maintain our very high standard of productions and be part of the very active Arts Scene in beautiful Burlington.
