A cat thrown from a car window on highway 403 is being treated at a vet for injuries.

A kitten is being treated at a veterinarian’s office after being thrown from a car window on Friday morning.

The feline was tossed from a car moving eastbound on Highway 403 in Waterdown at approximately 10:45 a.m.

“It’s a pretty significant, serious issue,” Ontario Provincial Police sergeant Kerry Schmidt says. “The person who saw it flying through the air was certainly disturbed. Officers were able to find the kitten in the grass just off the highway.”

Burlington police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them at 905-681-2511.

No other details, such as the make and model of the vehicle or suspect descriptions, are known at this time.
