Environment Canada has updated this week's Weather Statement for Burlington, Oakville, Halton Hills Milton and Caledon to a Snowfall Alert.

Significant snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm is expected to begin late Wednesday (Jan. 25) morning and last until the early hours on Thursday.

The rapidly accumulating snow is expected to result in reduced visibility and make travel in the area difficult. Isolated power outages are possible.

Local residents are advised to continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to [email protected] or tweet reports using #ONStorm.
