A guided hike to Hilton Falls is just one of the many events this Saturday.

Hikes, bike rides, and two high school celebrations! 

Here’s what’s happening this weekend in Burlington. 

Central High School 100th anniversary - June 1-3 @ Lions Club Hall and Central High School.

That’s right, Central is 100 years old. Alumni are invited to return to their alma mater to relive the glory days and reminisce. June 1 and 2 celebrations are being held from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lions Club Hall, and the June 3 event is at the Burlington Central Cafeteria from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The Hike for Carpenter Hospice - June 3 @ 2250 Parkway Dr.

Donate to one (or several) of the teams raising money for hospice care in Burlington, and tag along for a 5-km hike through the Mountainside neighbourhood. 

The hike is this weekend, but the fundraising portion continues until June 11.

All Ages Bike Ride - June 3 @ Burlington Central Park. 

Join Safe Streets Halton at 2 p.m. for a ride through Centennial Trail and Spencer Smith Park, complete with trivia, giveaways, and a raffle for an E-bike.

Halton Waterford High School Opening - June 3 @ 2254 Orchard Park Rd. 

As one high school turns 100, another is just opening its doors. Mayor Marianne Meed Ward will celebrate the opening of the new school at 2 p.m.

An Evening at the Brant Inn - June 3 @ 1240 North Shore Blvd E. 

It’s a step back through history to Canada’s Hollywood! Enjoy a night of dancing, food, drinks, and more at the Joseph Brant Museum from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Celebrate Burlington’s iconic venue and relive the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. 

Tickets are $80 per person ($72 for members) and include hors d’oeuvres, dessert, one drink ticket, dance instruction, and live musical entertainment.

This event is for those 19 and up.

Slay Your Way Guided Nature Walk at Hilton Falls - June 3 @ Hilton Falls. 

Join outdoor educators at 10 a.m. for a family-friendly guided hike to the Hilton Falls. Participants will learn all about the park’s history, as well as the plants and animals that live inside.
