Marcolin says they pride themselves on their food program, making as much of the menu items in-house as possible. All their burgers are homemade, and their fried chicken sandwich is hand-breaded and cooked to order. Other signature items on the QB’s menu are the spicy beer chicken penne, and the Miss Vickies salt and vinegar fish and chips.
With seating for up to 240 people, Marcolin has ample space to accommodate large groups at his restaurant. Booking ahead for big crowds or teams is always recommended, but QB’s welcomes teams of all sizes, whether they’re from Burlington or the surrounding area.
“We do teams really well,” Marcolin said. “A lot of restaurants freeze when you’ve got 40 people walking in. It’s almost like second nature here. We really enjoy it. The real satisfaction is when teams come from out of town. Teams from Oakville, Hamilton, or Stoney Creek will come here. That’s cool because they’ve got a lot of choice where they are.”
The menu is a big component of QB Sports Bar Grill Game’s success, but the entertainment side of the equation is important, too. They have a dedicated games room with 16 games for kids young and old to enjoy while they wait for their meal.
Trivia nights are a big draw at QB’s, with trivia buffs putting their Harry Potter, Friends, The Office and Simpsons knowledge to the test every month. UFC fans can also pull up a seat for every Pay Per View fight because QB Sports hosts all UFC PPV fights, with no cover.
As the weather continues to warm up, patio season will be in full swing soon, and QB’s is ready with patio seating up to 100 people and five TVs outside for those hungry and thirsty sports fans.
