The Burlington Performing Arts Centre is now accepting nominations for its 2024 Hall of Fame Inductee.

Ever since opening in 2011, the Burlington Performing Arts Centre has strived to build, foster and celebrate cultural vitality and diversity so that the performing arts are seen as an important component of everyday life. To attain this purpose, The Burlington Performing Arts Centre established its Hall of Fame in 2013. Every year since then, the Hall of Fame has recognized individual and group artists who have made significant contributions to the performing arts in Burlington. Recipients of the Hall of Fame Award demonstrate the diversity of artistic accomplishment that comprises the rich cultural tapestry of Burlington.

The 2024 inductee will be announced at the 2024-25 season launch on May 30.

Past Hall of Fame inductees include Gordie Tapp (2013), Rainer Noack (2014), Lawrence Bonanno (2015), Stewart Laughton (2015), Bob Missen (2016), Burlington Teen Tour Band (2017), Helen Zdriluk (2018), The Burlington Footnotes (2019), Hayley Verrall (2020), Gary DeGroote (2021), Don Allan (2022), and Charles Cozens (2023). The Burlington Performing Arts Centre has equally recognized Boris Brott and Kate Lowe with Lifetime Achievement Awards.

Nominations for the 2024 Hall of Fame Inductee must be submitted to the committee by noon on Friday, April 26. The committee is comprised of a cross-section of the Burlington arts community. The Burlington Performing Arts Centre’s staff and board members, as well as their family members, may not nominate or be nominated. The nomination form can be filled out on The Burlington Performing Arts Centre’s website at: www.burlingtonpac.ca/hall-of-fame.
