Georgetown man found sleeping in car at Beer Store charged with impaired

Halton Police have charged a Georgetown man with impaired after finding him sleeping in his car in the Beer Store parking lot.

A Georgetown man has been charged with impaired after Halton Police found him sleeping in his car outside of The Beer Store.

Responding to a citizen complaint, Halton Police went to The Beer Store on Guelph Street in Georgetown around 4:35 p.m. on Thursday (Apr. 25). Halton Police say they found a man asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle in the parking lot.

As a result of its investigation, Halton Police charged a 43-year-old Georgetown resident with blood alcohol concentration 80 mg or more, within two hours.

Halton Regional Police no longer name individuals facing impaired charges.
