Run for Burlington raises over $15,000 for Joseph Brant Hospital

Organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, the event drew more than 130 participants

More than 130 participants turned out for the second annual Run for Burlington last weekend to raise money for Joseph Brant Hospital (JBH) Foundation.

Organized by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Canada (AMYA), the event was also attended by local dignitaries such as MP Adam Van Koeverden, MPP Natalie Pierre, Halton Regaional Chair Gary Carr and Deputy Mayor/Ward 1 Councillor Kelvin Galbraith.

They were joined by JBH lead hospitalist Dr. Joseph Fornasier as well as the national president of AMYA Tahir Ahmed.

Sponsors of this year's event, which raised more than $15,00 for local hospital programs, include, d Rogers, Carsup Automovtive, No Frill's Church's Chicken, RC's Ice Cream, Kaim Solutions, Blueleaf Cleaners and Linked CPA. Last year's event raised $10,000.
