Burlington man charged in Quebec child sexual exploitation case

A Burlington resident is among 29 people charged in relation to a child sexual exploitation investigation in Quebec.

Ontario Provincial Police made the arrests between Nov. 27 and 30.

The 29 accused range in age from 18 to 84.

Numerous searches have occurred at the homes of the accused, and police seized computer equipment as part of their investigation, according to an OPP news release.

Cody Gowers-Otis, 28, of Burlington, has been charged with accessing child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography.

Police urge people to report cases of online child sexual exploitation at cybertip.ca or to the crime information hotline at 1-800-659-4264.
