3rd Waterdown Scouting

Scouting originated in Waterdown in 1935 with the 1st Waterdown Group. However, of those groups, only 3rd Waterdown, which received its charter in October of 1960, survives.

Our home base is Sealey Park Scout Hall on Main St. The Royal Canadian Legion Br. 551, Waterdown, sponsors the 3rd Waterdown Group. We wear the Legion emblem on the back of our scarves.

Our group has five sections: Beavers 5-7, Cubs 8-10, Scouts 11-14, Venturers 14-17, & Rovers 18-26. All our leaders are police checked volunteers.

We have a Group Committee made up of interested parents, leaders, and other volunteers that meets on a monthly basis from August to May to look after fundraising, program issues, leadership recruitment, registration, and any other administrative issues affecting the group.
