Burlington Welsh Ladies Chorus

The Burlington Welsh Ladies Chorus (BWLC) was founded early in 2017, with nine members following in the footsteps of the Burlington Welsh Male Chorus (BWMC).

While founded on Welsh traditions, we are not strictly a Welsh chorus. Our songs are from different cultures in several languages. We sing in three-part harmony with a repertoire including popular music, show tunes, spirituals, and opera. One of our main objectives is to share the benefits and joy of choral music with our community.

Events

We have performed at multiple venues, including the Atrium at the Royal Botanical Gardens, St. Augustine's in Dundas, St Matthew on the Plains, Culture Days in Burlington, various Retirement Homes, Oakville Performing Arts Center, Concerts in the Park- Burlington, Benares Historic House in Mississauga, and a fundraiser with the Canadian Friends of Hopital Albert Schweitzer.

We are always looking for ways to support our community. Please email us for information on how we can help your fundraising efforts or add a spark to your special celebration.

Now the BWLC has grown to a group of 40+ singers and continues to welcome newcomers.

Come out and join us at practice on Tuesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at St. Matthew on-the-Plains Anglican Church, 126 Plains Road E, Burlington, ON, L7T 2C3.
