Ted Michaels, the multi award-winning host of a health and wellness radio show, will shine a light on mental health wellness by hosting his second annual fundraiser, called “Stand Up, Speak Out,” which will support programs and initiatives at the Canadian Mental Health Association, Halton Branch.

On Thursday, Sept. 21, 2023, at 7:30 p.m., five-time Juno nominee Matt Dusk, brings his “Matt Dusk Sings Sinatra” tour to the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, to support this initiative.

“Ted Michaels continues to be that rare person who brings courage and authenticity to the discussion about mental health care and well-being,” said Rashaad Vahed, the executive director of CMHA, Halton.

“Stand Up, Speak Out” is not just the name of the event, but the way in which Ted champions mental health needs in our community. CMHA Halton is grateful to Ted for helping us build greater supports and treatment in our community.”

Dusk, who has over one million albums sold, three number-one radio hits and five Juno Award nominations, will transport you back in time to one of music’s most elegant eras. A time when Come Fly With Me, I’ve Got You Under My Skin, and Fly Me To The Moon dominated the charts.

“No longer the elephant in the corner, let’s take this opportunity to raise awareness for mental health and encourage emotional well-being for all,” Dusk said.
