Having a long and successful grooming career, owning two other shops in two different cities and finally wanting to settle in one spot Pets N Groom was created in October of 1996. Starting with one tub and two tables, within six months another tub was added. Within a year two more tubs were added, four in total. Then more tables were added. Over the years Pets N Groom steadily grew all due to the vast knowledge and expertise of its owner Eda Arafat. Eda comes with 30 years of experience, with an extensive background in showing, grooming and exhibiting dogs. Developing close relationships with her clients and with Eda’s kind and understanding personality it was a combination hard to dismiss. Burlington rewarded Eda’s efforts by voting Pets N Groom #1 groomer for 21 years. Together with her husband and family they developed one of the busiest grooming salons in the immediate area.
Putting customers, dogs and employees first Pets N Groom strived to create a pleasant and cheerful atmosphere in the work place. Eda noticed efforts of her staff, and groomers were genuine and considerate of each and every pet. Each dog is treated as though it were their own. Concerned that the groomers and dogs deserved more comfort in the grooming process she realized that there was a need to create a product that would make both dog and groomer more comfortable and happy. The Viper Table was born. Patented by Eda, her husband Nabil and manufacturer Mardig Sevardjan the fully automatic grooming table and arm (also fully automatic) became a reality. With the unique abilities of the table that enables it to lift a dog safely, adjust the arm automatically, calming nervous and anxious dogs, stabilizing older dogs and allowing them to rest on the sheepskin pads placed under their bellies for support, it ensured the careers of Pets N Groom groomers and comfort of its clients. Placing the tables in the store and watching the smiles on her groomers and the calm reactions and wagging tails of the dogs Eda was assured of the future of Pets N Groom. With the tables now sold throughout America, Canada, and Germany, they are beginning to make groomers think about simplifying grooming, creating comfort to their doggie clients, old and young, nervous and anxious, making control much easier and creating a professional look every time.
Eda can be found in magazines such as the Pet Product News under voices of the industry, she has participated in television shows such as On The Line, and Pet Tales. Also having just done some recent shooting on up coming shows to be announced at a future date. She is a member of the Canadian Kennel Club for the past 30 years. Bred and exhibited for 15 years, Pomeranians¸Yorkshire Terriers, and Minature Smooth Dachshunds.
