The cast of Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? are currently rehearsing for the show's Feb. 2 opening.

Theatre Burlington is hard at work on their second main stage show of the 2023-24 season, Edward Albee’s Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?

This searing drama has been challenging audiences since its Broadway debut in 1962. Directed by Deb Dagenais and produced by Michelle Spanik, it's  the story of a dysfunctional married couple who invite a younger couple to their home for a night of fun and games that turns dangerous, culminating with a shocking revelation.

Those who were fortunate enough to see Theatre Burlington’s production of Educating Rita in 2022, will be familiar with the two leads, Kelly Kimpton as Martha and Mark Ellis as George.

Rounding out the cast are Rebecca Durance Hine as Honey and Jeff Giles as Nick, both newcomers to the Theatre Burlington stage.

Theatre fans are reminded that this play may not be suitable for all ages and audiences, as it deals with adult themes and contains strong language.

Show dates are Feb. 2-3, 9-10, 16-17, with an 8 p.m. curtain, as well as matinees on Feb. 4 and 11; curtain goes up at 2 p.m.
Tickets can be ordered at TheatreBurlington.on.ca or by calling the box office at 905-639-7700.

Tickets for all main stage shows are $25 each.

Theatre Burlington is located on Teen Tour Way, behind the Central Park bandshell, beside Central Library.
