A train leaves the Acton GO station.

Riders on GO Transit's Lakeshore West line can expect some changes to service this weekend.

Starting at approximately 10 p.m. tonight (Dec. 1), there will be no train service between Oakville GO and West Harbour GO stations until the end of service on Sunday, 3.

The altered schedule supports bridge construction work between Mimico and Union Stations, as well as track maintenance work and infrastructure upgrades.

According to a notice issued by Metrolinx, replacement GO buses will be available for customers and Oakville Transit will be running hourly shuttles to and from Oakville GO for customers wishing to access the Appleby GO or Bronte GO stations.

In addition, the Friday 10:50 p.m. train to Niagara Falls GO will be adjusted to start at Aldershot GO. Customers travelling to Niagara Falls from Union Station are advised to take the 10:17 p.m. Lakeshore West train to connect with the Niagara-Falls bound train departing at Aldershot GO.

Riders can use gotransit.com or triplinx.ca to plan their trips this weekend. Customers can also check the GO Transit Service Updates page for real-time details.

Regular service will resume on Monday, December 4.
