Some 3,200 runners lacing up for 27th annual Chilly Half Marathon

Event takes place on Sunday, with road closures in place

The 2024 Chilly Half Marathon will be taking place on Sunday, March 3, celebrating the 27th anniversary of the event. The race will start in front of Burlington City Hall. Opening ceremonies will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the official race start time is 10:05 a.m.

More than 3,200 runners, including top athletes from all over Ontario and beyond, are expected to toe the starting line in front of Burlington City Hall. The route will take runners along Burlington's fast, flat and scenic Lakeshore Road. Runners will make their way to Burloak Drive where they will turn around and head back to the finish line to enjoy some hot STAGG® Chili at a participating local restaurants.

The 2024 Chilly Half Marathon will be supporting Joseph Brant Hospital once again. The event has raised $400,000 to date.Donations received will support local mental health and addictions programs, which are more important now than ever. Many of our runners have been affected by mental health and find that lacing up and going for a run has great benefits! Especially over the winter months.
