Burlington bootcamp participants get down and dirty on the farm

Dirty Games of Grit an intense hour of running, climbing, pulling, carrying and crawling

Toiling on the farm is a great workout - and more than 40 fitness buffs signed on to do just that on Saturday morning.

Organized by Gritlabs Fitness Studio, the "Dirty Games of Grit" were held at the NOVAK Farm on Dundas Street, where participants had the chance to run, climb, pull, carry and crawl their way to exhaustion.

"It's an unique farm-style workout," says Gritlabs Fitness Studio Manager Courtney Dahl.

The gruelling session, which lasted a little more than an hour, consisted of a warm-up and short run, and six workout stations with a duration of seven minutes at each.

Dahl says they hope to keep it going as an annual event.
