Gallery: Competition is sweet for Butter Tart Festival racers

A record 480 runners turned out for the 2023 VRPro Butter Tart Festival Race at Spencer Smith Park Saturday morning (Aug. 12). 

Events included 5K and 3K categories and a kids' 1K run/walk, and participants were treated to live music and - of course - butter tarts.

Community Living Burlington also came out a winner, as  VRPro donates proceeds from the race to the local non-profit that supports adults with developmental disabilities. This year, more than $1,488 was raised, bringing the total amount to date to more than $50,000 for the charity.
