Puck drops in Burlington on international 80-plus hockey rivalry

New members Henry Svazas and Keith Jalbert, along with 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame Director Peter Austin and President Herb Brennen encourage hockey fans to attend the Canada-USA game at Appleby Arena Friday.

The Team Canada vs Team USA hockey rivalry is alive and well, and it’s playing out in Burlington this week.

The 80+ Hockey Hall of Fame International series takes place today and tomorrow, with game 2 slated for Friday at Appleby Arena.

The Canadian team will feature about eight Burlington Oldtimers Hockey Club members, including the “youth movement” - new members Henry Svazas and Keith Jalbert.

The puck will drop at 1 p.m. on Oct. 27 at Ice Pad 1 at Appleby Ice Centre (1201 Appleby Line). Members of the public are welcome to attend and cheer on Team Canada.
