January 28th, 1939 - April 24th, 2024

Passed peacefully, with his wife at his side, at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Ann Marie (nee Reynolds) for 58 years; loving father of Mary (Alan) Ranney, Julie (Jake) Jakop, Paula (David) van Riel, Michael Blonde, David (Colleen) Blonde; proud grandfather of Jacob, Emma, April, Peter, Hanna, Briana, Michael, Ella and Liam; and dear brother of late Genevieve (Percy) Bergeron, late Jack (Joy) Blonde, Jerry (Arlene) Blonde, late Greg (Mary Ann) Blonde and Ruth Anne Blonde. Clare will be deeply missed by his extended family and by his many friends.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, from 3:00 – 5:00 and 7:00 – 9:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Parish, 196 Kenwood Dr., Burlington on Thursday, May 2 at 10:30a.m. Reception to follow immediately following Mass in the church hall.
