MacKAY, William James "Bill"

July 8th, 1947 - July 24th, 2023

It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our dearest Bill who passed away at his home in Burlington, on Monday, July 24, 2023, at the age of 76.

Devoted husband to Patricia MacKay (nee Pawlowski) whom he has been lovingly married to for 54 wonderful years. Cherished father to Shari MacKay of Burlington and William (Lea) MacKay of Ottawa. Adoring grandfather to his grand-pups Max and Gus. Predeceased by his parents Hugh and Margaret MacKay (nee Wilson) and brother Ian.

Forever in the hearts of his extended family and friends. Bill may be gone from this world; however, he lives on in the stories and memories he has left with all those he touched during his lifetime. As per Bill's wishes, and that of his family, a private cremation has taken place.

A Celebration of Life will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, (one block north of City Hall), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday July 28, 2023 from 5:30-8:30p.m. Private family interment at Greenwood Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
