Toronto Police say one man is dead after what they call a "violent altercation" in a North York parking lot.

Police say the fight broke out between two men near Bathurst Street and Wilson Avenue shortly after 6 a.m.

Det. Sgt. Brandon Price says a 51-year-old man died at the scene, while the second man fled on foot.
