A Burlington resident is among seven people charged after a Nov. 9 sweep by Hamilton Police that netted over $156,000 worth of illicit drugs.
According to a Hamilton Police Service (HPS) press release, the Major Drug and Gangs Unit executed search warrants at residences in Hamilton and Burlington. They found over 1 kg of fentanyl, over 280 g of cocaine, 1 oz of methamphetamine and substantial quantities of codeine and oxycodone pills.
In addition to the drug seizures, detectives located a handgun, prohibited extended magazine, prohibited weapons, and numerous rounds of ammunition.
Logan Keoun of Hamilton, 22 is charged with multiple drug and firearm-related offences:
- Possession of Heroin for the Purpose Schedule One
- Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose Schedule One
- Two Counts of Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose Schedule One
- Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose Schedule One
- Prohibited Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Weapon
Sarann Nop of Burlington, 39, is charged with Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose Schedule One; Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000 and Possession of Opioid for the Purpose Schedule One.
Also charged with drug-related offences are Heather Balloch, 33, of Hamilton, Douglas Burley, 44, of Hamilton Roger James, 55, of Hamilton, Jessica Keoun, 21, of Hamilton and Ly Keoun, 49, of Hamilton.
None of the charges have been tested in court.
