The Burlington District Response Unit also recorded a G2 driver going 107 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Appleby Line near Britannia on Sunday. The vehicle was impounded and the driver's licence was suspended.
Earlier in the day, a 22-year-old driver was slapped with a slew of fines after being stopped by police on New Street near Cumberland Avenue. According to a post on the HRPS_Burl X account, they were ticketed for doing 85 km/h in a 60 km/h Community Safety Zone, tailgating, failing to stop for an emergency vehicle and failing to clear the snow from their rear window.
