Police seek 3 suspects following armed home invasion in Milton

Halton Regional Police are seeking the public’s assistance as they investigate a home invasion that took place over the weekend in Milton.

According to police, three suspects entered a home on Commercial Street via an unlocked door at around midnight Saturday.

The trio was wearing masks and armed with handguns, police reported in a news release.

The suspects allegedly assaulted the occupants of the house and made demands for cash, with personal property being stolen.

The victims didn't suffer serious physical injuries as a result of the incident, police say.

The suspects are described as three young Black males, possibly Somalian (as one of the suspects spoke in Somalian during the attack, police say). They were driving a black SUV.

Investigators are appealing for any dash cam footage near the intersection of Commercial Street and Derry Road West from 8 p.m. on Jan. 13 to 1 a.m. on Jan. 14.
