Seven people were taken to hospital following a violent two-vehicle collision on Highway 403 near Waterdown Road at 1 a.m. today.
The road remained closed until around 8:30 a.m.
Initial reports said that one person was ejected from the vehicle.
OPP, Burlington Fire Department and Hamilton Fire Department were all on scene. Firefighters removed the roof of a vehicle to remove a trapped person.
OPP say that two people are in critical condition, two in serious and three have minor injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate.
