Suspect charged in pedestrian hit-and-run in Oakville

Halton Regional Police (HRP) have identified a driver wanted in connection with a pedestrian hit and run incident.

On February 18th 2024 at approximately 6:30 p.m., HRP responded to a hit and run near the intersection of Kingsway and Winterbourne Drives, Oakville.

Investigation determined that an elderly female was stuck by a vehicle that fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries and continues to recover. Investigation was undertaken by the Oakville Criminal Investigations Bureau with a suspect identified.

On March 1, 2024, Jenna Tedesco, 36, of Oakville, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • one count, fail to remain at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm

A court date has been set for April 2, 2024.
