Take an in-depth tour or Burlington's lakeside gems with with Burlington Realtor® and host of The Genuine Realtor® Show, Rochelle Edwards above!

"With eight waterfront parks running along the shoreline of Lake Ontario, there's a wide range of things to do depending on where you go," said Edwards.

Beginning with Burloak Waterfront Park, Edwards describes the 14-acre park as a tranquil space, perfect for relaxation. With its paved path, playground, lookouts, and access to rocky beaches, visitors can spend a leisurely day enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Paletta Lakefront Park, located in the Shore Acres neighbourhood, is a real hidden gem. This 14-acre park boasts a magnificent 11,000 square-foot mansion, which can be rented for special events. Visitors can also enjoy the lush green spaces, mature forests, and sprawling lawns.

The Window on the Lake Parkettes, located in the Roseland neighbourhood, offer peaceful havens for quiet reflection. With their serene and tranquil surroundings, these small parks provide the perfect setting for contemplation and relaxation.

As visitors move towards the Central neighbourhood, they will find Spencer Smith Park, the flagship park of Burlington. This 12-acre park features a range of amenities, including a lakeside restaurant, playgrounds, tributes, and pathways, making it the perfect spot for a family day out.

Just a stone's throw away from Spencer Smith Park is Burlington Beachway Park, a true gem that boasts pristine white sands, clear blue waters, and stunning views of Lake Ontario. However, visitors should be aware that parking is strictly enforced, and they must pay to park.

Continuing towards Aldershot, the largest urban neighbourhood in Burlington, visitors will discover Bayshore Park, the third Window on the Lake parkette, and La Salle Park. La Salle Park is a multi-use space with forest trails, a marina, a wading pool, and a playground. While visitors can enjoy a range of activities, they should avoid swimming in the park's waters and feeding the ducks or swans.

Last but not least, Edwards shares a bonus park, Laking Garden, a four-acre plateau overlooking the Grindstone Marsh on the northwestern shore of the bay. This peaceful space features an assortment of paths and gardens, making it the perfect spot for bird watching or exploring the sheltered valley during the winter months.

Burlington's waterfront parks are a true gem, offering a range of activities and attractions for visitors of all ages. With its tranquil and serene surroundings, visitors can indulge in relaxation and quiet contemplation or enjoy a day of family fun in the great outdoors.
