Farm Boy announces second location for Burlington

Burlington is getting a new grocery store this year.

Farm Boy announced on its website this week that it will open a store at 3230 Fairview Street just east of Guelph Line (former address of Pier 1 Imports and Mark’s) in late 2023.

This will be the second Farm Boy in Burlington. The first one opened at Dundas Street and Walkers Line in December 2019, creating 120 jobs.

Farm Boy is owned by Empire Company Ltd., which is also the parent company of Sobeys. Currently, there are 47 Farm Boy stores throughout Ontario; in addition to the new Burlington South location, the company is planning to open a new Mississauga store in Port Credit in summer 2024.
