The high-scoring McCoys netted six against the Breakers after a successful playoffs run.

Burlington senior hockey players Trevor Atkinson and Shane Conacher helped the Dundas Real McCoys win the Allan Cup for the second year in a row on April 27.

The McCoys beat Newfoundland’s Southern Shore Breakers 6-1 in Saturday’s final to clinch the trophy. It was the first time a team has won the championship back to back in 28 years.

Conacher, a former Hobey Baker nominee for the NCAA, played fewer games this season for the McCoys than in past years, but still managed to score eight goals and make six assists in regular season play.

Atkinson had a fairly successful season as a defender with nine assists to his name after 12 games in the regular season.

The McCoys won 3-2 against the Southern Shore Breakers in round-robin play earlier this month.
