Longing for summer? plunge into The Sweet Delilah Swim Club

Theatre Burlington presents its final show of season beginning this weekend

For anyone longing for the warm, sunny days of summer, Theatre Burlington invites you to attend  The Sweet Delilah Swim Club, the final main stage play of the 2023-24 season.

Directed by Sondra Learn and produced by Mark Collis, this heartwarming comedy is the story of five women who set aside a long weekend every August to meet at the same beach cottage. They talk about life and love, have a laugh, and generally meddle in each other’s lives.  It is written by the same team behind TV’s The Golden Girls.

Learn says she was drawn to the story because of the strong, remarkable characters, and their enduring friendship, something she says we all need in our lives.  The cast includes Deb Dagenais, Rose Pye, Maueen Ali, Vanessa Scott and Cynthia Crofoot.

Show dates are April 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27, with an 8 p.m. curtain. There are matinee performances on April 20 and 27, the curtain goes up at 2 p.m., however the April 20 show is SOLD OUT.

Tickets can be ordered at TheatreBurlington.on.ca or by calling the box office at 905-639-7700.  All main stage shows are $25.

Theatre Burlington is located on Teen Tour Way, behind the Central Park bandshell, beside Central Library.
