August 23rd, 2005 - April 23rd, 2024

It is with overwhelming sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Alex on April 23, 2024 at the age of 18. Loving son of Christine and Greg, and brother to Max. Alex will be forever remembered by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, close friends, and his community family.

Alex was a caring, loving, kindhearted, quick-witted young man. He was a master of both sarcasm and good humour. The family cottage was Alex's 'happy place' where he felt most free. You could find him in a boat, on a dock, or kayaking with his brother Max. He also spent a lot of time at his aunt and uncle's cottage hanging out with his cousins. He immersed himself in adventure and fishing was in his soul. He designed and built custom fishing lures, and had plans to become a fishing guide, leading expeditions all over the world.

Visitation at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Friday, May 10 from 5-8 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, May 11 at 1p.m. If desired, memorial contributions to Central West Specialized Developmental Services would be sincerely appreciated by the family. www.smithsfh.com
