Jaheim Turner, 21, of Mississauga faces charges including kidnapping and robbery with a firearm.

Halton Regional Police say a man charged in a home invasion in Oakville has now been linked to an earlier home invasion in Milton.

On March 25 around midnight, the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to a home invasion in the area of Upper Middle Road and Third Line in Oakville.

During the incident, police say a resident was assaulted, with the suspects fleeing the area in a white BMW BX5 SUV.

According to police, the SUV eventually entered Bronte Creek Provincial Park and collided with a wooden post.

Two suspects were taken into custody by HRPS. One was identified as Jaheim Turner, 21, of Mississauga.

As a result of the Oakville home invasion, Turner was held in custody and charged with:

  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000.

As the investigation continued, HRPS say they were able to link Turner to an earlier home invasion March 21 near Clark Boulevard and Lancaster Boulevard in Milton.

During this incident, police say the victim was directed at gunpoint into his own truck, which was driven a short distance before he was told to get out of the vehicle.

As a result of investigation into the Milton home case, HRPS say they've charged Turner with a further eight criminal offences:

  • Break and Enter
  • Robbery with a Firearm
  • Point a Firearm
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Theft of Motor Vehicle
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Kidnapping with a Firearm
  • Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence.

Turner has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Turner is considered innocent unless proven guilty.

HRPS is appealing to the public in an effort to identify other suspects who may be involved in the incidents.
