Halton police impounded a vehicle and handed out a licence suspension this afternoon, after clocking a driver doing more than twice the speed limit in a community safety zone on Maple Avenue.
According to a post on the @HRPS_Burl X account, the G1 driver, who was in the car alone, told the officer that they failed their G2 test last week.
They now have a court date for G1 and stunt driving charges, say police.
Can’t make this up. G1 driver stopped on Maple Ave today at noon, 110 km/h in a 50 km/h Community Safety Zone. The G1 driver was unaccompanied and said that last week they failed their G2 road test. Given a court date for G1 and Stunt charges. Vehicle impound and DL suspension. pic.twitter.com/hGzQFNs8V6
