Oakville man charged in hate-motivated assault investigation: police

Waterloo Regional Police made an arrest in a hate-motivated incident that occurred in Waterloo.

On Jan. 13, 2024 at approximately 11:25 p.m., police responded to reports of a physical altercation in the area of King Street North and Princess Street East. The victim was assaulted by a male and sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries as a result of the incident.

After an investigation, a 20-year-old Oakville male was arrested and charged with assault, today.

The male was held for a bail hearing.
