Thief targets copper wiring at Bell Canada storage facility

Suspect was seen by a witness after entering through a hole in the fence

Halton police arrested a suspect who allegedly stole copper wiring from a Bell Canada storage yard on Dec. 30.

According to police communications, the suspect broke into the Pioneer Road facility through a hole in the fence at about 12:40 p.m. on Saturday. He was seen by a witness who contacted police.

Police say the suspect, a 41-year-old man from North York, was found with copper wiring taken from the storage yard. He has been charged with Break and Enter and Theft Under $5,000.
