One Burlington is hosting a very special evening of learning and music at the Burlington Performing Arts Centre (BPAC) this fall.

Music is the Universal Language takes place Thursday, Nov. 2 in the Main Theatre from 7:30 to 10 p.m.

The event will be divided into two parts. The first will be a panel discussion on the evening’s theme moderated by concert pianist and host of the Classical 96 morning show Daniel Vnukowski and will include Wayne Strongman, Founding Director of Toronto's Tapestry Opera and longtime Conductor of Hamilton's Bach-Elgar Choir.

The second part of the evening will feature diverse performances by four musical groups: Shades of Blue, the blues band that includes special Nigerian artists; Yuan Yin’s zither ensemble, Lucky Stickz on the steel drum and Daniel Vnukowski, who will perform Gershwin's legendary Rhapsody in Blue.

Complimentary tea, coffee, and water service will be available at intermission.

One Burlington, founded in 2017, is dedicated to inclusive celebrations of faith and culture and is grateful for support from the Government of Canada.

Admission to Music is the Universal Languages is free, but those who wish to attend must reserve a ticket through the BPAC box office.

One Burlington requests that those who attend bring donations for the Burlington Food Bank.
