Craftadian is bringing their handmade market to the Ron Joyce Centre in Burlington on Saturday, Nov. 12, gathering a diverse group of small makers and artists from across Ontario passionate about creating with heart. Nearly 65 jury-selected makers carry a variety of items from jewellery and skincare to clothing, holiday decor, gourmet foods, wood turning and stationery—all with designs that reflect their expression.

A hallmark of this market, which has been operating since 2011, is its emphasis on conscious shopping, supporting small businesses, fostering community, and supporting the courage of small business owners.

"It's more important than ever for small and local business owners to feel supported and encouraged, and we're here to tell them that together, we are stronger," said Jacqueline Hunter, owner of Craftadian.

"We are passionate about bringing Craftadian to as many communities as possible, to support local businesses still recovering from the brink of collapse during the COVID-era. We believe many creatives need a venue to sell their wares and a shot of courage to rebuild, grow, and thrive again."

Craftadian is launching its expansion to Burlington and is looking forward to growing its own following within the Burlington Maker community. The vendor line up includes 65 curated local makers such as award-winning wood turner Turnings By Jim (Burlington, Ont.), the unique candy-inspired jewellery from Emma Gerard Glass Jewellery (Burlington), Indigenous potter Good Stuff Pots (Hamilton, Ont.) and the beautiful bags and purses from Cocotte & Co Creations (Oakville).

Also included at Craftadian is a drop off area for the Burlington Food Bank, where foodstuffs and urgently needed items such as feminine hygiene products, diapers, toilet paper, soap and peanut butter, will be accepted.
