Conservation Halton wants residents to get active outdoors this summer with its Wellness Series.

Conservation Halton kicked off its 2023 Wellness Series last month as a way to get residents active and outdoors.

Anyone 12 or older can sign up for outdoor yoga (Mondays at Rattlesnake Point, Wednesdays at Kelso), open water swimming (Thursdays and Sundays at Area 8), trail running (various dates and locations) and guided hikes (various dates and locations), with additional options for full-series participants such as rock climbing. Full-series participants will also get access to VIP events by Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx.

Open water swims are held at Conservation Halton’s newest park, Area 8, right beside Kelso Summit. Other events are scattered throughout the Conservation Halton parks, including Rattlesnake Point, Crawford Lake and Mount Nemo.

Participants can choose to pay as you go for $8 per session – plus gate fees for non-members – or pay $109 for the full series, though non-members will have to pay $159 for the series.

The wellness series wraps up on September 26 with a guided hike at Kelso Summit.
